Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 19, 2026
This policy covers the SLED Cab phone app and the sled-manager.com website (together, "SLED"). SLED is run by Veradyn LLC ("we", "us").
The short version
- We collect what we need to run your account, your loads and your trailers.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for ads.
- The app has no ad trackers and no third-party analytics.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
What we collect
Account info. Your name, email, mobile phone number, username and password (stored scrambled, never in plain text), your company name and your role (driver, dispatcher, owner). When you sign up in the app we text a code to your phone to check the number is real.
Business info you enter. Loads, customers, rates, ticket numbers, notes, invoices, and your business name, address, phone, email and logo for invoices.
Location.
- While you're connected to a SLED trailer: the phone's location is sent with the trailer's status so the owner can see where the trailer is. If the trailer has its own GPS fix, that's used first.
- While a load is started: the app measures haul miles with GPS, including when the screen is off, so your invoice miles are right. It stops when you complete or cancel the load. We store the miles; the app keeps the route points on your phone.
- Map screens: your location may be shown on a map on your phone.
You can turn location off in iPhone Settings. Trailer controls still work; miles and trailer location won't update.
Photos. Only photos you choose to take or pick: load and scale ticket photos, an invoice logo, or a photo you add to a problem report. The app does not browse your photo library on its own.
Bluetooth and local network. Used only to find and control SLED trailers near you. We log which phone account connected to which trailer and when, so the trailer's owner has a record. If you connect to a trailer owned by another company, that company's dispatch is notified with your name and phone number.
Trailer data. Trailer status such as battery, bed angle, pump and firmware version, and trailer on/off history.
Ratings. Star ratings and short comments you leave after a load-board job, and ratings others leave about you.
Problem reports, feedback and help questions. What you type, any photo you attach, the app version, and your phone model and iOS version.
Help chat. If you use the Help chat, your question is sent to an outside AI service (OpenAI, through Vercel's AI Gateway) to write an answer. Don't put private information in Help questions.
Payments. Card payments (rent, card on file for the load board, subscriptions) are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. We never see or store your full card number; we keep things like the card brand, last 4 digits and payment status. Stripe's privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy
Sign-in. If you turn on Face ID, Face ID is handled by iPhone. We never receive your face data.
How we use it
To run your account and your company's account; show loads, invoices and trailers; let trailers know who may raise the bed; tell owners where their trailers are and who used them; process payments; answer support requests; keep SLED secure and fix problems. We may email or text you about your account (for example sign-in codes). We don't send marketing texts.
Who we share it with
- Your company. Owners and dispatchers in your company can see your loads, miles, trailer use and contact info.
- Other companies, when you use the load board or their trailer. A company whose load you accept, or whose trailer you connect to, sees your name, phone number and related job or trailer activity.
- Service providers that run SLED for us: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), sign-in (Clerk), payments (Stripe), text messages (Twilio), invoice email (Resend), and the Help chat AI. They may use your info only to provide their service to us.
- If the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
While your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove your name, email, phone and password and sign you out everywhere. Invoices, payments, trailer and load records that other companies or renters still need are kept, but they show "Deleted user" instead of you. Copies in our providers' backups are removed on their normal backup schedule.
Deleting your account
In SLED Cab: Today → Account → Delete my account (also on Safety for drivers and More for dispatch/owners). On the website: Account → Delete account. If you're the owner of a company with other people in it, you'll be asked to hand off the company first. You can also email us at dustin@veradyn.com.
Your choices
You can view and update your info in the app or on sled-manager.com, turn off location, Bluetooth, camera or photo access in iPhone Settings, or ask us for a copy of your data at dustin@veradyn.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or Colorado), you may have extra rights to access, correct or delete your data; email us and we'll help.
Kids
SLED is for working adults. It isn't meant for children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Security
Everything between the app and sled-manager.com is encrypted (HTTPS). Your sign-in is stored in iPhone's secure Keychain. Trailer permissions are digitally signed so they can't be faked. No system is perfect, so tell us right away if you think your account was misused.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email if the change is big.
